It Doesn’t Sound Like Shouting In My Head

It’s been a little slow here lately, hasn’t it?  My husband and I have both been feeling under the weather but we’re on the mend.  Thanks to everyone for the get well wishes!

Having auditory processing issues on top of being stuffed up from a cold tends to compound the problem of not being able to comprehend speech.  Not only can I barely hear what someone is saying, I can hardly make out what I’m saying and at what volume!  I’m watching people’s faces closely for any signs that I might be shouting or whispering.

I’m looking forward to wrapping up Part 2 of our Q&A with the inspirational Sarah (@GoldChoiceUK on Twitter)!  I’ve also got my eye on our next few guests.

I hope you feel better soon! I wonder if what I think are hearing problems are related to auditory processing. (Some of it, anyway… being 44 does contribute an age-related possibility of hearing degeneration.)

Look forward to part 2 with Sarah!

Are you having a hard time understanding what people are saying or just hearing everything in general? I thought it was across the board for me until I realized that I could hear the tiniest noises just fine. It drove my mother crazy that I never responded to her calling my name while my dad never had a problem, and she never believed me when I tried to explain that she just happened to have a voice at a certain pitch that blended in with background noise.
