I'm laughing so hard at the ad on this page for IE. That's actually well-targeted advertising!

I agree completely, tabs are a huge hassle. I like to keep tabs open only for things which will flash when I need to pay attention to them, such as gmail sessions where I'm chatting or facebook, which does the same.

Everything else I have to read and close as soon as I finish or I will have to manage 400 tabs with the comp straining just to clear them from the (I'ma quit this now before it gets really technical...).

Archkittens’s last blog post..Initial impression: Cisco Network Admission Control, Volume 1: NAC Framework Archedecture and Design.

It certainly gets good ratings but I'm worried that I'd get even more distracted...

I can't deal with very much visual clutter.

I've installed a plugin for Firefox called "Tree Style Tab" that goes quite well with my style of web surfing... and goes quite well with widescreen monitors, too. Basically, it organizes the tabs into a tree structure, with new tabs 'branching off' the tabs from which they were opened.
