What’s In Your Bag?

bag

I really need to stop throwing things into my bag.  I’ve discovered that crossbody bags (which hit at the hip instead of under the arm) are infinitely more comfortable than regular purses, so I’ve been carrying one around all summer.  As you can see, my bag has become more of a trash bin.

I found:

  • 55 cents
  • 2 straw wrappers
  • wallet
  • sunglasses
  • plant trimmers
  • business card from the farmers market
  • receipts for a cheesesteak, Dunkin Donuts, and migraine meds
  • two sets of keys
  • two lip glosses

What do you carry in your bag/briefcase/pocket?

    I don’t carry one, unless I’m going Out Somewhere where I need multiple things with me (such as my recent trip to visit a friend in the city). Then I scramble to make sure I haven’t forgotten anything essential. I don’t do makeup, so that makes it a little easier. :-) Here’s what I had on Tuesday’s trip:

    * kleenex
    * my iPhone
    * my bank card and identity card
    * € 75 in cash
    * tampon and pad (always fun to travel when menstruating)
    * chewing gum

    Oh, you may notice “keys” aren’t on the list, and that’s correct. I don’t drive, so my husband dropped me off and picked me up at the train station; I decided not to take my keys so as not to have the opportunity to lose them. ;-)

  3. Ok – so I feel like you had a sneak peek into my daily dramas….getting locked out of my house, my car, etc… Then again, there is always the oh so lovely times when I’ve “lost my car in the mall parking lot!” I even thought my car was stolen a few months ago (I exited out the wrong door in JC Penneys) ~

    I like your suggestions Sandy – these little tips really do work!

    mine at the moment:

    small knitting project
    mp3 player
    wallet
    phone
    keys
    cloth bag
    woolen gloves

    without the first 2 i’d never make it out, they are my safety net in a world i don’t cope with.
